| Diesel smoked test |
A diesel smoked test proves the increase of combustion efficiency of the
cars with the BLUE SKY SHEET.

●The Nagoya city bus is fitted with the BLUE SKY SHEET on February 7,
2002. Exhaust black smoke density is measured with a diesel smoked tester.
A result is that......the deta shows there is about12% reduction of black smokedensity compare with before fitting the BLUE SKY SHEET.

When it is admited that there is a possibility of discharging the black smoke beyond the grade specified in the 15th clause of the 31st article of the safety standard, it shall measure by the following using a black smoke measuring instrument.

Black smoke shall insert a probe (exhaust gas extraction part of a black
smoke measuring instrument) about 20cm into an exhaust pipe, and shall
measure it in addition, a black smoke measuring instrument is used, after
carrying out the warm-up enough before the beginning of using and performing
proofreading once per day.
The car is made into a stop state and a derailleur is considered as neutrality.
Extraction of black smoke shall be performed under the following operation
conditions.

After carrying out running light of the motor and reaching the full treading-in highest number of rotations
quickly in an acceleration pedal, operation of detaching an acceleration
pedal immediately and resulting in no-load operation is repeated 2 to 3
times.
Perform running light for 5 - 6 seconds.
Foot down to the floor on the accelerator pedal quickly and continuing for 4 seconds,then maintain an acceleration pedal for 11 seconds after release the accelerator.
Continue operation of (c) and repeats 3 times.
Extraction of black smoke is performed from the time of beginning to break
in an acceleration pedal in (c). In addition, a probe is purged just before
extracting black smoke (scavenging for accumulation of black smoke). |
